Abstract

The Information Organization seeks to represent the registered knowledge and has been present in Information Science since its inception, so the approaches dealt with in the Information Organization tend to undergo thematic changes according to the historical period. Thus, the objective of this research is to identify the scientific production on the Organization of Information, in the contemporary period of Information Science (1990 - 2020), in order to verify the relevance of the subject to the area, as well as the approaches applied and the authors that produced the most during this period. For this, exploratory and descriptive research is used, through bibliographic means, with a quantitative and qualitative approach. Resulting in 77 (seventy-seven) scientific productions, collected in the Reference Database of Journal Articles in Information Science (Brapci), through which it was found that most publications are from different authors and there is recurrence of themes present in previous historical moments, however, with the advent of the computer and the internet, contemporary studies also aim to meet the needs of organizing information in the digital environment.
