Experience Report on the Process of Creation of the Document Classification Plan of the Municipality of Aracaju - SE

Abstract

This work arises from the partnership between the Aracaju City Hall (PMA) and the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS) in the modality of extension action called Management Room of the Entrepreneurship Center (CEMP) of UFS. The objective of this article is to report and describe the steps of the construction process of the Document Classification Plan of PMA and present the results obtained during the execution of activities, sought to develop a table of documentary temporality and destination of archival documents within the municipal administration of the Prefeitura. It presents a methodology of exploratory and descriptive nature, and as to the means, the research is bibliographic and field. The result was the elaboration of the pilot and the construction of the Document Classification Plan. It was also analyzed the level of recognition of the City Hall as an important conductor of archival policy in the municipal executive and found an almost "invisibility" of the importance of documentation among representatives of the sectors responsible for producing the documentation.
