reflections from the Abecin TCC Contest

Abstract

It aims to present aspects of the works awarded by the TCC Abecin Contest. The research is characterized as exploratory, descriptive, documental and with a quantitative-qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out on the website of the Brazilian Association of Education in Information Science (Abecin) and identified 55 works awarded the award. For the document analysis, the indicators author of the research (if he was a scholarship holder during graduation) and the monographic work indicator (keywords and availability on the internet) were established. Among the authors, 29.5% were scientific initiation scholarship holders during graduation. Regarding the keywords, there was a predominance of general terms characteristic of the area “Library”, “Information”, “Data” and “Social”. As for availability, 69% of the works are available for access on the internet, strengthening debates on the importance of digital preservation and institutional memory. This study is considered as a brief presentation of aspects related to the authors and the awarded works, however, without exhausting the possibilities of investigation, since there are a series of other indicators that can be expanded to draw a more detailed and robust panorama of these studies.
