Abstract

The Information Management course, currently in Brazil, instigates debates and theoretical accumulation, but it is clear that there is a certain lack of knowledge and conceptual confusion regarding the potential of Bachelors in Information Management. In view of this, the article sought to show how teaching, research and extension can go together, and more, how teaching practices can contribute to solving social problems of different natures, including problems related to a professional category, such as Manager of information. To this end, participatory action research was carried out with students of a discipline at a federal public university. As a result, a platform was developed that provided practical reflection on Information Manager issues, through various co-creation processes and tools that were developed during classes. As well as the question that we need to co-create new tools for the new professional realities that are emerging and understand that the connection between people is a fundamental factor, especially for strengthening Information Managers.
